According to Sky Sports Transfer Live blog (3:03pm, February 1, 2021), Tottenham Hotspur have told Japhet Tanganga that he will not leave on loan on transfer deadline day.
Tanganga is a player in demand, with West Bromwich Albion and Celtic among the clubs reportedly interested in signing the defender on loan for the rest of the season.
The Express & Star has claimed that West Brom want to secure the services of the 21-year-old.
Celtic and Burnley are interested in the defender, according to Sky Sports Transfer Live blog (12:41 pm, February 1, 2021).
Tottenham Hotspur stay
According to WhoScored, Tanganga, who can play as a centre-back and as a right-back, has played thrice in the Europa League, and twice each in the FA Cup and the EFL Cup for Spurs so far this season.
It is unlikely that the 21-year-old will get much playing time in the coming weeks and months.
However, the youngster will be able to train under Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho, and if he impresses the Portuguese, then he could get chances.
Tottenham are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table and are also in the knockout rounds of the Europa League.
