Tottenham Hotspur defender Japhet Tanganga is looking increasingly likely to stay, despite interest from Celtic, Sky have reported in their live blog at 12:41pm.
Tanganga has struggled for game time at Spurs this season, with Jose Mourinho favouring other options.
Celtic and West Bromwich Albion were, therefore, keen on the youngster.
However, Tottenham seem set on keeping him around – although Paulo Gazzaniga may go out.
“We expect Danny Rose to stay until the end of his contract, but Paolo Gazzaniga could move today,” Paul Gilmour reported for Sky.
“That’s something Spurs would be open to. There’s a possibility Japhet Tanganga could move on loan to Celtic, Burnley or West Brom. We’ve been told in the last few minutes it is more likely he’ll stay.”
If Tanganga does stick around at Spurs he will surely be hoping for more game time as the season progresses.
With Serge Aurier dropped from Tottenham’s squad entirely last night, it seems that an opening could present itself at right-back.
But Mourinho favoured playing Moussa Sissoko out of position in defence at Brighton & Hove Albion last night, rather than starting Tanganga.
Spurs are next in action on Thursday, when they take on Chelsea.
