According to the Daily Record, Rangers youngster Jamie Barjonas could leave the club amid interest from a host of teams.

It’s claimed that USL side Orange County – who have strong ties to Rangers – are pursuing a permanent deal for the midfielder.

However, talks over a deal haven’t progressed, and with a move now stalling, other clubs are trying to swoop in and win the race.

Scottish Championship clubs allegedly want to take Barjonas on loan, with the 22-year-old seeking first-team action.

Barjonas has long been highly rated at Ibrox, but has failed to break through on any kind of consistent basis, making just nine first-team appearances.

Loan spells with Raith Rovers, Bury and Partick Thistle haven’t exactly taken him any close to reaction, and another move could materialise.

Steven Gerrard did praise Barjonas over the summer, feeling that he was starting to show his personality in the Rangers setup, but that hasn’t resulted in more playing time.

Rangers’ midfield is absolutely stacked at the moment, and the only way for Barjonas to break in may be to go out and impress elsewhere on loan.
