Jack Wilshere is the subject of more interest from Serie B side Como, who can now sign the former Arsenal midfielder after freeing up a non-EU spot in the squad.
According to Football London, the Italian club are still keen on signing the England international after failing to bring him to Italy earlier in the season, with rules on non-EU players the key reason why a deal never happened.
However, as per Football London, Como Councillor of Sports Paolo Annoni has posted to social media that a deal could now be possible, and that Wilshere is once again a target for the Lombardy-based club.
The 30-year-old midfielder also had interest from a Greek Super League side, however, with the deadline for the free-agent market in Greece now closed, a move is impossible for Wilshere.
The former Emirates Stadium star has been training with Arsenal for some time, with Wilshere even joining the squad in Dubai earlier in the month for warm-weather training over the Premier League winter break.
Despite calls from fans to sign Wilshere, it appears that the midfielder’s second spell with the club is coming to a close following this transfer revelation from Como.
