Italian outlet CMW claim Inter Milan want Arsenal defender Gabriel and are willing to include Netherlands defender Stefan de Vrij in a deal. The report claims Gabriel is rated between £30million and £34million.
Gabriel, 24, has been a mainstay of the Arsenal starting line-up since joining the club from Lille in 2020. Despite numerous centre-back partners, he has impressed under Mikel Arteta – who once branded him “terrific”.
Despite having a contract until June 2025, Gabriel has been regularly linked with an Arsenal exit this summer. However, the player is said to be happy at The Emirates and is unlikely to push for a move away from North London.

But Inter Milan are ready to test Arsenal’s resolve. They are preparing for another Champions League campaign after finishing in second last season, and want to sign Gabriel to strengthen their defence.
With Milan Skriniar potentially joining PSG, Inter are considering replacements and Gabriel is on their list. Rated between £30million and £34million, Inter are ready to include de Vrij in a bid to tempt the Gunners.
Inter want Arsenal defender Gabriel: willing to include de Vrij
Inter believe de Vrij is rated at £17million so any potential deal would see Inter halve Arsenal’s asking price with the inclusion of the experienced 30-year-old. But it might be his age that deters the Gunners.
Edu’s transfer blueprint has been signing experienced players, but between the age of 20 and 25. Gabriel is an example – as is Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu and more. De Vrij might not fit what Edu wants.
