According to The Telegraph, Gabriel Magalhaes is happy at Arsenal and is unlikely to push for an exit this summer.

This is despite ongoing and emerging rumours linking him with a move away from the club.

Juventus are apparently keen on Gabriel, and with the Turin-outfit qualifying for next season’s Champions League, there was an element of concern around Gabriel’s future.

However, The Telegraph are led to believe that the Brazilian is very happy at the club in what is a massive boost for Arsenal.

Of course, footballers change their minds all the time, but according to this report, it would take a considerable fee for Arsenal to even consider letting the defender leave the club, and it’s not hard to understand why the Gunners are keen to keep hold of the South American.

Gabriel has been one of Arsenal’s most important players this term. He’s one of the first names on the teamsheet at centre-half, and at the age of just 24, he has so much room to improve.

Magalhaes has been described as ‘very consistent’ in the past, and that’s exactly what Arsenal need from their centre-backs going into next season.

This is yet another boost for Mikel Arteta too. Gabriel is a key player in his youth revolution at the Emirates, and the fact that he’d rather stay at Arsenal rather than move to Juventus is a real testament to the atmosphere and project Arteta is building at Arsenal.

Whether or not Gabriel lives to regret staying at Arsenal this summer remains to be seen.
