Rangers youngster Billy Gilmour is being targeted by Arsenal.

According to The Scottish Sun, Arsenal are stepping up their pursuit of Rangers teenager Billy Gilmour after they were given permission to show him around the club over the weekend.

Gilmour, 15, has shot to prominence in recent months, having emerged as not only one of Rangers’ top young talents, but also one of the hottest prospects in Scottish football.

The midfielder has been tipped for a huge future with the Gers, and his youth displays coupled with his massive potential have seen him linked heavily with a move to England.

Gilmour has remained at Rangers, but with the transfer deadline closing in, it seems that one of those clubs has stepped up their pursuit of the playmaker.

The Scottish Sun report that Arsenal are now pushing to land Gilmour, and rolled out the red carpet for him over the weekend after Rangers gave the teenager permission to visit the Gunners.

It’s claimed that Gilmour travelled down to London with his family over the weekend, and was shown around the club, watching the Under-16’s in action too.
