Sheffield Wednesday are said to have launched a £1.5 million move for the Dutchman.

Heracles Almelo are demanding £2 million for Sheffield Wednesday target Joey Pelupessy, according to the Daily Mirror [live blog entry 20:35].
That is despite Pelupessy being out of contract in less than six months’ time.
The report claims Wednesday have ‘launched a £1.5 million bid’ for the defensive midfield player, with whom they are now ‘in talks’.

Dutch newspaper Tubantia reported on Wednesday that an agreement had been reached between the two clubs, and added that Pelupessy was due in Sheffield for a medical.
The 24-year-old former Netherlands Under-20 international could become the first signing of the Jos Luhukay era at Hillsborough.

Luhukay, who is also Dutch, was appointed by the Owls a fortnight ago on Friday.
It was thought that Sheffield Wednesday would have limited money to spend in January, although chairman Dejphon Chansiri said recently that he will do his “best” to provide funds for the new manager.
Will Pelupessy be a good signing for Sheffield Wednesday?
