Speculation has been growing over the future of West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis.

According to the Mirror, West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis is not considering his future at the club despite the disappointment of missing out on key transfer targets.

Reports have been rife over the past 24 hours in regards to the Welshman’s future at the club after it emerged that West Brom missed out on a club-record deal, believed to be Malaga’s Ignacio Camacho or Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho.

The Baggies were intent on strengthening the squad this summer, and after picking up four points from their opening three matches Pulis evidently felt his side were still weak in certain areas.

The former Stoke Cty boss mentioned that all areas of the pitch were being considered, and the club did manage to bring in the likes of Nacer Chadli, Allan Nyom and Hal Robson-Kanu before the deadline.

However, the prospect of a big-money addition to really strengthen the squad never materialised, and many West Brom supporters feel the summer transfer window was one of disappointment.

New chairman John Williams has since come out and put a positive light on the situation by insisting that five additions have been made – a target set by Pulis ahead of the transfer deadline – though that hasn’t stopped the speculation over his manager’s future.

The Mirror, though, now claims that the 58-year-old is not weighing up his future at the club and seemingly still has his eye on a top-half finish for the Baggies this term.

The West Midlands club finished in a safe 14th position last term and the pressure is on for them to progress in terms of both league position and entertainment on the pitch.
