The Besiktas ace is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.
A report emanating from Turkey today suggests that Spurs and Magpies target Cenk Tosun wants to remain in Turkey until the summer, in order to win another Super Lig title with Besiktas, therefore dashing the two English sides’ hopes of signing him in January, as reported by Turkish media outlet Sporx.

Tottenham and Newcastle have both emerged as front-runners to sign the 26-year-old during the winter transfer window, and the Daily Mail claim that the Turkish outfit will command around £18 million for his signature, which would actually represent a real bargain in today’s day and age.
Sporx have thrown a spanner in the works regarding the Premier League pair’s pursuit of the striker, however, claiming that he is more than happy to remain in Turkey until next season, although they do suggest that the Lilywhites and the Toon will still make an offer for his services in January.
Tosun has really risen to prominence since joining Besiktas from Gaziantepspor in 2014, scoring 60 goals in 133 appearances in all competitions for his club.
