Ex Spurs ace Jamie Redknapp spoke to Sky Sports reporters today, and labelled Del Alli as an 'exceptional player', whilst insisting that the 21-year-old is just about to kick into gear after a slow start to this season.

The England international was sensational for Tottenham last term, racking up 18 goals and seven assists in 37 Premier League games, although he has struggled to emulate that form this time around, recording just three goals and one assist in 10 league outings.

Dele remains a key member of Mauricio Pochettino's side, however, and if the Lilywhites are to enjoy a successful campaign, he will undoubtedly have to find his best form for the remainder of the season - something that Redknapp believes is imminent.

The ex-Spurs ace spoke to Sky Sports News, and explained how the former MK Dons man looks like he is ready to catch fire once again:

“You can see that his season is just going to kick into gear. You can see that his season is really going to start to happen, because he had a bit of a funny start, but he’s such an exceptional player, and you can see he’s coming into form now.”
