According to Fotospor, Tottenham are preparing to make a bid for Kim Min-jae as Fabio Paratici looks to find defensive reinforcements for Antonio Conte.
What’s the story?
Well, this isn’t the first time that Tottenham have been linked with Kim.
According to SPOTV, Spurs made an £11m bid for the 25-year-old in 2020, although a move failed to materialise.
Now, under Conte, Daniel Levy may be ready to sanction another move for the 37-cap South Korea international, who has been nicknamed ‘The Monster’.
Kim has also been likened to Liverpool colossus Virgil van Dijk, which reflects well on the Tottenham target given the Dutchman’s quality.
Fotospor believe Fenerbahçe want €20m (£17m) for their No.3.
That is a hefty sum for a player in the Turkish Süper Lig, although Spurs could well be prepared to pay it due to their long-term interest.
Heung-min Son wants Kim Min-jae at Tottenham

Interestingly, 90min believe Son once personally requested that Tottenham bring Kim to north London.
The pair both play together for South Korea, so if Son believes he’s capable of adapting to the Premier League, it may be worth taking the gamble.
Whether Kim is the right fit or not, Conte certainly needs more centre-back options.

The likes of Davinson Sanchez and Joe Rodon haven’t really shown much to prove they can start every week – in fairness, the latter hasn’t been given many chances.
Eric Dier has enjoyed a resurgence under Conte, but he was also an issue at the back under both José Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo.
Make no mistake about it, Tottenham need a new centre-back in January to have the best chance of making the Champions League.
