The Leeds United boss has been linked with managerless clubs Nottingham Forest and Glasgow Rangers.
Leeds United manager Garry Monk talks to his players
Leeds United have the option to extend Garry Monk’s contract by a further 12 months, according to the Daily Mail.
Monk, who has led the Whites to fourth in this season’s Championship, admitted via the Yorkshire Post last week that he is yet to begin talks regarding a new deal at Elland Road.
And his comments have been a cause for concern among the Leeds faithful, amid speculation linking the 38-year-old with a string of clubs including managerless duo Nottingham Forest (Daily Mirror) and Glasgow Rangers (Daily Mail).
However, the Daily Mail reports that Leeds are relaxed about Monk’s future, knowing they can automatically extend the former Swansea City boss’ deal.
It is also claimed that Monk could yet be offered an improved contract should he lead the Yorkshire side into the Premier League.
Leeds were relegated from the top flight in 2004 and are yet to return, but will all but cement a play-off place with a win at Fulham on Tuesday.
Rangers have reportedly earmarked Portuguese coach Pedro Caixinha as their first choice candidate to replace Mark Warburton at Ibrox, with the latter himself linked with the vacant position at Nottingham Forest (Nottingham Post).

Former Rangers director of football and Warburton ally Frank McParland was recently appointed at the City Ground.
