Thorgan Hazard was hoping for a move to the Premier League during the January transfer window but Everton did not make contact with the Belgium international or even Borussia Dortmund, according to Het Laaste Nieuws.
Eden’s younger brother certainly feels he has unfinished business in English football.
While his elder sibling would cement his status as a modern-day Chelsea legend, Thorgan did not make a single first-team appearance during three years at Stamford Bridge. Any hopes the Belgium international had of showing his old employers what they are missing, however, went up in smoke before completing a deadline day loan move to PSV Eindhoven.

According to Belgian publication DH Net, an Everton side now under the stewardship of Sean Dyche showed an interest during the final few days of the window. But not enough of an interest for Hazard’s liking.
Thorgan Hazard leaves Borussia Dortmund for PSV Eindhoven
Everton, HLN say, ‘never’ made contact either with Hazard or Dortmund. As such, PSV faced relatively little competition when bringing in a player BVB paid £25 million for after an exhilarating spell at Borussia Monchengladbach.
“Thorgan Hazard approached us with the desire to be loaned out to a club where he can play regularly,” explains Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl (BVB Buzz).
“Thorgan is a versatile player who can be deployed in multiple positions up front,” adds PSV chief Marcel Brands, formerly of Everton. “And he brings a lot of international experience.”
Hazard inherits the number 11 shirt previously worn by Cody Gakpo at PSV, and should slot into the now-Liverpool forward’s shoes on the left-hand side of Ruud van Nistelrooy’s attack. One of the Eredivisie’s pre-season title-favourites have struggled for cutting edge and creativity without Gakpo; winning just twice and scoring five goals in their last five league matches.
The hope will be that Hazard can go some way to emulating the Dutchman’s drive and unpredictability.
Everton, meanwhile, ended a miserable window without a single new signing. The Toffees lost out to Southampton for Kamaldeen Sulemana and saw Conor Gallagher stay at Chelsea, with a potential move for 33-year-old free-agent Andre Ayew highlighting their growing desperation.
