Wolverhampton Wanderers central defender Conor Coady is a Liverpool fan, but Frank Lampard’s Everton are still prepared to bring him to Goodison Park in the summer transfer window.

Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Everton are ready to complete the signing of Coady from Premier League rivals Wolves this week.

The England international centre-back is at the top of Everton manager Frank Lampard’s wishlist, according to Romano.

Interestingly, Coady grew up a Liverpool fans and still supports the Reds.

In 2019, the defender said that he looks “at Liverpool’s results and hope they win games – it’s as simple as that”.

Good signing for the Toffees

In our view, Conor Coady would be a good signing for Everton and would make the Toffees better and stronger at the back.

The 29-year-old is at the top of his game at the moment and would be able to make an immediate impact at Goodison Park.

The defender has played 10 times for England and is a regular in the Three Lions’ squad.

Coady scored four goals in 38 Premier League appearances for Wolves last season.

The 29-year-old scored one goal in 37 league matches for the Wanderers in 2020-21.
