Everton have reportedly failed with a bid for Sheffield United’s Aaron Ramsdale.
According to Sky Sports, Everton have had a bid rejected by Sheffield United for goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale with just hours of the transfer window to spare.
The Toffees made a big splash by signing Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United earlier this month, but have also added two young talents in Ademola Lookman and Anton Donkor.

Everton have been placing a strong focus on their Under-23 side, as on deadline day in August, they swooped to land young striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Sheffield United, whilst the Liverpool Echo report that Sheffield Wednesday’s teenage attacker George Hirst is a target too.
Now, it seems that Everton are eyeing another raid on Sheffield, as this time they are keen on Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale – but Sky Sports report that they have had a bid rejected for his services.

Ramsdale, 18, had been on the books at Bolton Wanderers before graduating through the ranks at Bramall Lane, and he has been fast-tracked into the Blades’ first-team setup.
Ramsdale already has two first-team appearances to his name and looks to have a huge future ahead of him, with Everton looking to make sure that his future lies at Goodison Park.
However, Everton’s undisclosed bid has been rejected, and with just hours of the transfer window left, it remains to be seen whether Ronald Koeman’s men return with a new offer today.

Sheffield United’s academy has produced the likes of Phil Jagielka, Kyle Naughton, Kyle Walker, Harry Maguire, Matthew Lowton and Stephen Quinn over the years, and with Ramsdale looking to follow in their footsteps, a move to the Premier League could be on the cards – whether it’s now or in the near future.
