Everton and Crystal Palace sent scouts to watch Besiktas pair Vincent Aboubakar and Oguzhan Ozyakup in Europa League action on Thursday, reports the Daily Mail.

Striker Aboubakar scored the Turks’ opener in a 4-1 win against Greek side Olympiacos in Istanbul, but was later sent off for violent conduct, while midfielder Ozyakup captained the Black Eagles until his withdrawal after an hour.

Everton could be in the market for a new striker this summer, with top scorer Romelu Lukaku rejecting the club’s offer of a new contract.

And a midfielder is also likely to feature on the Toffees’ shopping list, after manager Ronald Koeman admitted on Thursday that Ross Barkley will be sold should he also fail to commit.

Aboubakar was a reported target for Everton during last summer’s transfer window, before his loan move from Porto to Besiktas, for whom the Cameroonian has scored 13 goal in 29 appearances.

Dutch-born Ozyakup spent four years in England as a youngster at Arsenal, but left for the Turkish giants five years ago and has since won 23 caps for the country of his parents’ birth.

Having signed Luka Milivojevic from Olympiacos in January, Crystal Palace may have also been tracking some of the Serbian’s ex-teammates on Thursday.

Former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel scored twice for Besiktas, with another reported Premier League target, West Ham United-linked Cenk Tosun, stepping off the bench to add his 20th goal of the campaign.
