West Ham United and Stoke City spies have reportedly checked on the £10-million-rated forward.

Premier League sides West Ham United and Stoke City are eyeing moves for Cenk Tosun, according to The Sun (06/03, p52).

The pair have reportedly had the Besiktas forward watched in this season’s Europa League, where Tosun has scored twice in as many matches for the Turkish giants.

The 25-year-old, who can play up front and out wide, has found the net 19 times in total during the 2016-17 campaign, including once against Benfica in the Champions League’s group stage.

Besiktas are said to value Tosun at £10 million, which would be relative peanuts for the likes of West Ham and Stoke.

The Hammers, though, could have the upper hand in the battle to land the 14-cap Turkey international, who was brought to Istanbul by London Stadium boss Slaven Bilic.

Tosun, who was born in Germany and began his career at Eintracht Frankfurt, starred for Gaziantepspor before switching to Besiktas for free in 2014.

Bilic’s West Ham bosses may prefer to err on the side of caution, however, given Gokhan Tore’s disappointing loan from the Black Eagles, for whom he had previously impressed.

Would Tosun be a good signing for West Ham, Stoke City?
