Turkish outlet Fanatik report that Besiktas and West Ham have ‘shook hands’ on a deal to sign left-back Arthur Masuaku on a loan-to-buy deal – as the Turkish outfit try to replace new Rangers signing Ridvan Yilmaz.
Yilmaz, 21, has joined Rangers for an initial £3.4million and £1.8million in add-ons. Besiktas need a replacement and they have seemingly found it in Masuaku. The 28-year-old has endured a difficult time at the London Stadium.
Joining West Ham during the Slaven Bilic era in 2016, Masuaku has managed just 128 appearances for the Londoners. Clocking up an average of little over 21 appearances a season, he has entered the final two years of his Hammers deal.

A move to Besiktas, for both player and club, will be appealing then. The DR Congo international is set to join Besiktas on a loan-to-buy deal, with West Ham and the SuperLig giants said to have ‘shook hands’ on a transfer.

Besiktas’ work in the transfer window do have a Premier League flavour. Three of their seven signings have come from English clubs, in Cenk Tosun from Everton, Wout Weghorst from Burnley and Romain Saiss from Wolves.
Gedson Fernandes has also joined the club, from Benfica for around £5million – after a loan from Tottenham. So, it makes sense that ex-West Brom gaffer Valerian Ismael is looking at the Premier League to replace Yilmaz.
Masuaku needs to leave West Ham to save his career – with the Hammers boasting Aaron Cresswell as first choice. David Moyes might also want another left-back, to replace Masuaku.
