Real Madrid are willing to ‘give up’ reported Tottenham target, Isco, according to a report.

But Spanish outlet ABC claim that the light-footed playmaker doesn’t want to leave Madrid this summer.

The Mirror did previously report that Tottenham planned to hand Isco a three-deal, as the four-time Champions League winner has fallen out of favour at the Bernabeu with one year remaining on his contract.

Nuno Espirito Santo hasn’t been in the Tottenham hot seat for long, but he will learn in next no time that he needs a creative mind in the middle of the park next season.

A player of Isco’s qualities, who has amassed 50 goals and 49 assists during his La Liga career (transfermarkt), is a player worthy of taking a punt on.

The 29-year-old is better than what Spurs currently have on their books and is seemingly available at £14 million.

Tottenham have the aggression, no-nonsense style and the ability to break up play in the middle of the park via Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

But they lack that player who can connect the midfield and defence. Tanguy Ndombele has brilliant ball-carrying abilities, but his decision-making and link-up play can let him down at times.

Even though there is interest from those in the North London boardroom and Madrid are willing to let him leave, it might not be that easy to push Isco out of the door.

Isco fell out of favour under Zinedine Zidane’s stewardship, but with Carlo Ancelotti back at the helm, he might just offer everyone a clean slate.

It seems as though he is going to do just that with Gareth Bale and former Arsenal loanee, Martin Odegaard, who were both on loan in the Premier League last season.
