Unai Emery is keen to see Aston Villa sign Yeremy Pino from Villarreal – a player who Mikel Arteta has wanted at Arsenal for months.
Aston Villa eye Yeremy Pino
Well, the 20-year-old rose to stardom under Emery at Villarreal, becoming a Spain international as well as a key player for the Yellow Submarine.
Now, the 51-year-old is keen to be reunited with Pino at Villa Park.
That is according to La Razon, who believe Emery also wants to sign Pau Torres and Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal as he looks to build a legacy at Aston Villa.
It comes after Spanish news outlet El Periodico Mediterraneo claimed that Arteta is obsessed with Pino, and has urged Arsenal to sign the Villarreal No.21 for months.

Radio Villarreal added that the Gunners made a £34m bid back in the summer, although it was not enough to lure him away from Spain.
Now, however, it is said that £25m could do the trick – that was according to The Sun.
So far this season, Pino has scored one goal and provided one assist in 17 appearances.
Last term, the Spaniard netted seven goals and provided four assists as Villarreal reached the Champions League semi-finals.
Aston Villa could embarrass Arsenal
In our view, if Emery is successful in his attempts to sign Pino, and he goes on to become a superstar in the Premier League, Arsenal will feel quite embarrassed.
The north Londoners had a great chance to sign the winger back in the summer had they increased their bid slightly, although they now face a huge obstacle in the form of Emery, who has a strong connection with the forward.
Pino will surely find it difficult to reject Arsenal, especially if they go on to secure Champions League football as expected, but he may also be tempted to link up with Emery – a manager he knows well and has already performed under – for his first taste of English football.
Be sure to keep an eye on the situation going into 2023, as Pino looks set for a Premier League move soon.
