Mohamed Elneny could join the likes of Reiss Nelson and Hector Bellerin out of Arsenal today.

According to the Daily Mail, the central midfielder might be on the move in the final hours of the summer transfer window. Elneny has just one year remaining on his current contract, and no talks have begun yet over with Arsenal over a new deal.

Nelson and Bellerin are close to departing the Emirates on loan for Feyenoord and Real Betis respectively. As reported by the Telegraph, Alex Runarsson could also be heading out of Arsenal for Belgian side OH Leuven.

As per the Daily Mail, Arsenal are plotting a ‘mas exodus’ today. Up to five players could potentially leaving before this evening’s 11 pm deadline.

Elneny has made just two appearances for Arsenal this season. The Egyptian midfielder was a key part of Mikel Arteta’s squad last campaign after returning from a season-long loan with Turkish side Besiktas.

Indeed, there are rumours that Elneny could return to Turkey in the coming days. The window shuts on September 5th for Super Lig sides, so even if a deal doesn’t happen today, some clubs could come back in for the Arsenal midfielder.

With Arsene Wenger signing Elneny in January 2016, the midfielder is one of Arsenal’s longest-serving players in the current squad.

And whilst he is not a first-team player, it will be disappointing if the Gunners were to offload the 29-year-old this window.
