According to La Repubblica, Fabio Paratici has verbally agreed to join Tottenham and become the club’s new Director of Football.
The Italian news outlet states that the Italian is already with Daniel Levy at Spurs, and has given the Tottenham supremo his word.
Interestingly, La Repubblica add that Paratici is ready to become the ‘transfer man’ and maybe even more in north London.
This suggests that Levy may have offered him the chance of a role which goes beyond bringing new signings to Tottenham.
Now, this is incredibly exciting news for Spurs.
As detailed by us yesterday, Paratici is a man who’s previously managed to sign the likes of Paul Pogba, Dani Alves and Andrea Pirlo on free transfers.
He also lured Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus back in July 2018.

If he can do similar work at Tottenham, the supporters would surely be in dreamland.
Bad news for Steve Hitchen
The man currently in charge of transfers at Tottenham is Steve Hitchen.
However, the Evening Standard have suggested that his role could be under threat if Paratici arrived at the club.
Hitchen – who acts as Technical Performance Director – could now leave, following La Repubblica’s news of Paratici’s agreement with Levy.
It should be noted that Antonio Conte has previously worked with Paratici.

Levy is clearly keen to reunite the pair as he aims for success in a post-José Mourinho world at Spurs.
It remains to be seen how the Italian duo perform.
However, Levy must ensure he backs them financially, or they’ll surely struggle to work to their maximum.
