Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has reportedly felt let down by some players following their performance against Burnley last night.
According to Football London, the Italian coach has been reluctant to criticise his players in public, yet Conte has been disappointed in private over a few players based on numerous bad displays in recent weeks.
Despite a massive 3-2 win against Manchester City on the weekend, Tottenham have lost four of their last five Premier League matches, with their hopes of a top-four finish taking some beating despite at one point having numerous games in hand over rival clubs.
The losses, the latest a 1-0 defeat to Burnley at Turf Moor, have left Conte’s side stranded in eighth place in the Premier League table, seven points off fourth-place Manchester United, who have played two more games than the north London club.
With the mood around the club at the lowest it has felt in some time, it is understandable why Conte is feeling like some Tottenham players have underperformed in recent weeks, with Spurs now facing a mountain to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
Indeed, this development is a worrying sign for Spurs. After all, Conte was appointed to take Tottenham to that next level, and with the manager having worries behind the scenes, there is a chance something dramatic could happen involving the Italian.
Latest Conte revelation should worry Tottenham at every level

When the former Inter Milan boss was appointed, there was a sense that Tottenham had finally got it right with Conte as their manager. However, just four months into the project, it all appears to be crumbling into dust.
This latest revelation paints a picture that Conte is not confident in the current players Tottenham have on their books. And whilst the summer is just around the corner, whether the Italian will be here for that not is another question entirely.
