Philippe Coutinho is a player in demand, with Arsenal and Newcastle United among the clubs linked with the Barcelona-owned attacking midfielder.
Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Newcastle have already started talks with Coutinho – currently on loan at Bayern Munich – and his representatives (click here to read more), while The Sun has reported of interest in the former Liverpool star from Arsenal and Chelsea.
ESPN have now detailed the transfer demands of Barcelona for any club who are interested in the 27-year-old.
It has been reported that the Spanish giants want more than half of the £142 million they paid for the Brazil International to Liverpool in 2018.
“Sources have also told ESPN that Barcelona want any loan agreement to include a fee of around £10m, plus the buying club would be required to cover all of his £250,000-a-week wages,” added the report on ESPN.
ESPN have further claimed that Coutinho – who can also operate as a winger – has been offered to Manchester United and Arsenal.
Leaving Barcelona
Coutinho has failed to make a huge impact at Barcelona and has not lived up to expectations.
It does seem very likely that the Brazilian will not be at Camp Nou next season, and he would be a smart signing for any top club in the Premier League, given his obvious quality and his wonderful displays at Liverpool.
