According to The Athletic, Leeds United were approached a number of times by Derby County for Tyler Roberts in the January transfer window.
It has been reported that Championship club Derby made ‘several approaches’ for the 22-year-old Wales international, but Premier League outfit Leeds turned them down.
The Daily Mail first reported Derby’s interest in Roberts – who can play as a striker, winger and attacking midfielder – back on January 7.
Good decision from Leeds United?
Roberts is a very talented and promising young player who has already played 11 times for the Wales national football team.
The 22-year-old is not guaranteed a place in the Leeds staring lineup, but the youngster is a good option to have for head coach Marcelo Bielsa.

Leeds need to have depth in their squad and Bielsa must have different options, and Roberts will be important for the team in the coming weeks and months.
According to WhoScored, Roberts has made two starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League for Leeds so far this season.
The youngster made 12 starts and 11 substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds last season, scoring four goals and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
