But ex-Blackburn Rovers and Hull City bosses could also be discussed by the Rams’ board, along with Neil Warnock.

Derby County will consider an approach for Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner once Nigel Pearson’s departure is confirmed, the Daily Mail reports.
However, it is claimed that out-of-work trio Paul Lambert, Steve Bruce and Neil Warnock could also be discussed by the Rams’ board, alongside Birmingham City boss Gary Rowett, who was linked by the Sun on Wednesday.

Pearson was suspended on Tuesday, three hours before Derby’s Championship fixture at Cardiff City, pending an internal investigation, and the former Leicester boss’ sacking is deemed ‘inevitable’ by the Daily Mail.
The report claims that Pearson’s number 2 Chris Powell, who led the Rams to a 2-0 win in Cardiff, is also in with a shout of landing the role on a permanent basis.

However, Derby chairman Mel Morris is said to have been impressed by Wagner, after the former United States international led unfashionable Huddersfield to the top of the Championship.
Wagner was only appointed by the Terriers last November, ironically as Powell’s replacement.
The 44-year-old, was born and raised in Germany, previously worked under Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund and was best man at the Liverpool boss’ wedding.

Lambert and Warnock have been out of work since the end of last season, having left their roles as manager of Blackburn Rovers and Rotherham United respectively.
Bruce, meanwhile, quit Hull City on the eve of the new campaign, despite leading them into the Premier League in May.
