Cedric Soares of Arsenal has been linked to Fenerbahce over the past week.

According to Fotomac, the Turkish giants are keen on signing the Arsenal right-back, who earns £75,000 per week in North London.

And if new rumours are believed, a familiar face at the Emirates Stadium could help facilitate the exit.

Fanatik in Turkey are reporting that David Dein could be involved in the departure.

The report claims that Dein – Arsenal’s vice-chairman of 24 years before leaving in 2007 – is a close friend of Fenerbahce president Ali Koç.

Arteta rates him

The Portugal international has only been given 11 starts for the Gunners despite joining 18 months ago.

And as a result, you would think that Mikel Arteta may be in favour of offloading the player.

On the contrary, Arteta has reportedly been left very impressed by Cedric in training and plans to start him against Brentford in Arsenal’s Premier League opener on Friday week.

With Hector Bellerin’s time at the Emirates looking potentially over, there is every chance that the Spanish coach could indeed start him at right-back in the curtain raiser.
