Graham Potter is now the favourite to become the new Crystal Palace manager despite new links with Tottenham Hotspur.
Crystal Palace are now focusing on Graham Potter as a potential replacement for Roy Hodgson this summer.
That is according to Foot Mercato, who claim that Palace ‘absolutely’ want to appoint Potter as their new manager.
It’s noted that Nice also fancy landing Potter but Palace are now looking to make their move for him.
Potter was sacked by Chelsea in April and hasn’t returned to management since, instead choosing to take some time out.
Potter is expected to land a new job this summer though and Palace are now emerging as a potential destination.
That may be difficult for some fans given Potter’s history as the manager of Palace’s rivals Brighton and Hove Albion.
Still, with Palace looking to kick on with a new manager following Roy Hodgson’s return, maybe going for Potter – another manager with history in Scandinavia just like Hodgson – is the right move.

Graham Potter to Tottenham looks unlikely
Palace’s push to land Potter comes amid conflicting claims about a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs missed out on Feyenoord boss Arne Slot last week and that sparked rumours about Potter.
The Daily Mail reported that Potter had emerged as a real option to become the new Spurs boss.]
Just a matter of hours later, reporter Dean Jones told Give Me Sport that Potter to Spurs is a complete ‘non-starter’.
Tottenham were linked with Potter during his time at Brighton and he is now available after being axed by Chelsea.
Potter’s dismal time at Chelsea may just leave Spurs thinking that he isn’t the right man for them, and that could leave the door open for Palace to swoop in.
