Dean Jones has claimed that it is extremely unlikely that either Brendan Rodgers or Graham Potter become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager.
The journalist made this claim on GiveMeSport, a day after Arne Slot was also ruled out of the race as he confirmed his desire to extend his contract at Feyenoord.
Since Antonio Conte’s exit, while the likes of Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique have been heavily linked with the job, it seems like the pair are also no longer in contention for the role.
Now, Dean Jones is confident that neither Brendan Rodgers nor Graham Potter will land the Tottenham Hotspur manager job.
What Dean Jones said about Brendan Rodgers & Graham Potter not in line for Tottenham manager job
It was reported on Friday that in Rodgers’ case, he had been offered the job but Levy was not a fan of his potential appointment.
As for Potter, a report on Thursday mentioned how he was the ‘favourite’ to manage Nice next.
While Brendan Rodgers and Graham Potter still remain heavily linked with the Tottenham manager job, the renowned journalist has assured that as things stand, either of the coaches would be unlikely arrivals.

“I know Spurs fans that wonder about the chances of Brendan Rodgers or Graham Potter coming in but up to this point, I have been told that has been a non-starter.”
“So again, that has looked very unlikely. It might be the case that Spurs now have to go and explore that avenue, but everything I have heard makes me think both would take a lot of negotiating and persuading.”
One can imagine that Tottenham fans will likely not be too disappointed about this revelation about their new manager situation, as Brendan Rodgers and Graham Potter have seen their stocks plummet.
The worry in the white side of N17 is set to be based around how there is no indication about who will come in to replace Antonio Conte in what has become a circus of a situation.
