According to Goal’s Raisa Simplicio, Crystal Palace have made contact with Manchester United over a deal for Andreas Pereira.
What’s the story?
Well, after a period on loan with Flamengo, the 26-year-old could now be leaving Old Trafford on a permanent basis.
Pereira made 25 appearances for the Brazilian giants in all competitions last season, and his efforts have seemingly caught the eye of Patrick Vieira – as well as Marco Silva.
Simplicio adds that Fulham are also interested, and have actually made a bid worth £9m plus £2m in add-ons for the Brazil international, which Manchester United have accepted.
However, all parties must wait for Flamengo, who hold an option to buy Pereira until Thursday as part of the conditions of their loan agreement with the Red Devils.
In our view, that gives the south Londoners a bit of time to consider offering more than what Fulham have put on the table, although it all depends on what Flamengo decide to do.

In total, Pereira has made 45 Premier League appearances for Manchester United, although he has struggled to settle down across loan spells with Granada, Valencia and Lazio.
Hopefully, this is the summer where he finds a new home to kick on and showcase his ability.
Crystal Palace should avoid the Manchester United outcast
In our view, Patrick Vieira has no need for Pereira, despite his obvious ability.
The Eagles are already closing in on a deal for RC Lens maestro Cheick Doucoure, and with Eberechi Eze now back to full fitness, another midfielder is far from a priority.
Admittedly, Conor Gallagher has returned to Chelsea, although Vieira still has the likes of James McArthur, Cheikhou Kouyate, Jeffrey Schlupp, Will Hughes, Luka Milivojevic, Jairo Riedewald and Eze to choose from.

In our view, a new right-back should be the priority once a deal for Doucoure is wrapped up, rather than a move for Pereira.
Whatever happens, be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as things could get interesting if Flamengo decide against signing Pereira on a permanent basis.
