The report claims Clasie will be allowed to leave St Mary’s ‘if a suitable offer comes in’, and adds ‘it is possible’ one of the pair will be ‘tempted to make a move’ inside the next 36 hours.
Southampton paid £8 million for the 26-year-old in July 2015, but he has fallen down the pecking order since Ronald Koeman’s departure as manager last summer.

A reunion with another fellow Dutchman, Palace boss Frank de Boer, could be attractive to Clasie if offered, while the lure of Newcastle may also appeal.
Palace midfielder Yohan Cabaye is said to have attracted interest from a number of French clubs, while his Newcastle counterpart Jack Colback could be bound for Hull City, according to reports on Tuesday.
The Magpies, though, are thought to have prioritised other positions for strengthening, such as in goal and up front.
