Antonio Conte could reportedly offload as many as six Tottenham first-team players before Deadline Day on Monday, with a squad exodus on the horizon.
According to the Athletic, Dele Alli, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso are all in discussions to leave the club in the coming days, with Matt Doherty, Joe Rodon and Japhet Tanganga also likely to depart Tottenham before Deadline Day.
As per the report, Spurs are keen to sign a creative midfielder before Monday’s deadline, and a move could hinge on the likes of Alli and Lo Celso departing the club this week.
Like many clubs in the Premier League, Spurs have been largely quiet in the window, with the north London side yet to offload a player or sell anyone. However, this could all be about to change in the coming days.
Ndombele is close to a move to PSG according to the Daily Mail, whilst the likes of Alli and Lo Celso are linked with clubs in England and Europe.
As per the report, though, one player who is expected to stay with Tottenham this window is Steven Bergwijn. The winger was linked with a move to Ajax earlier in the month. However, the Dutch international has now won the favour of Conte.
Tottenham have to offload as much deadwood as possible

Since Tottenham’s UEFA Champions League final loss, Spurs have been in a permanent state of needing to refresh the squad for a new era. And under Conte, this revelation could well happen.
A squad exodus is needed if Tottenham are to reach that next level under the Italian manager. And with six players up for sale in the final week of the window, Spurs could offload a good amount of deadwood this January that has been needed for some time.
