Italian outlet CalcioMercato claim Roma are now willing to sell Tammy Abraham ahead of the January transfer window after a poor start to the 2022-23 campaign – amid reports Tottenham and Aston Villa are interested in the striker.
London-born Abraham, 25, joined Roma in the summer of 2021 and got off to a wonderful start. In his first season, he scored 27 goals in 53 games – laying on six assists. But this term, he has only managed four goals in his 20 outings.
Indeed, Abraham’s dismal form saw him overlooked for a place in the England squad. Toon star Callum Wilson has got in instead, playing in two of England’s three games as a sub. Abraham is no longer one Roma are desperate to keep.
That is according to CM. They say that Abraham, who was considered invaluable to Roma last season, is now being given the green light to leave. Corriere Dello Sport say Spurs and Villa are among potential suitors for Abraham.

But the report from CM also say that he has a £65million clause and interested parties may have to pay that fee. But one club that are unlikely to sign Abraham is Chelsea. They have a £65m buyback clause, but will not sanction it.
Roma willing to sell Abraham: Tottenham and Villa interested in striker
Do Spurs or Villa really need a striker? Tottenham still have Harry Kane and a move for Abraham could determine whether Tottenham need to replace him. Abraham might not want to sit as back-up for the England skipper at Spurs.
Of course, Abraham has played for Villa before – in the Championship. But Villa still have Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings. The latter has been up and down, and Watkins is arguably better from the wing. Maybe, Unai Emery wants a new no.9.
