Report: Club make offer for ‘unstoppable’ ace wanted by Bielsa and Spurs

Napoli have made a six-month loan offer for Cagliari midfielder and reported Leeds and Tottenham target Nahitan Nandez.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the third-place Serie A side are keen to sign the Uruguayan international in January on loan. However, Cagliari will only accept a loan offer if it includes an obligation to buy clause, with Nandez rejecting a new contract with the Sardinia-based club.

Inter Milan are also keen on signing Nandez, with Leeds and Spurs both having an interest in the midfielder. CalcioMercato reported that Fabio Paratici is a fan of the 25-year-old, whilst TuttoMercatoWeb have previously claimed that Marcelo Bielsa’s side were in talks for the South American.

Indeed, it now appears that neither Premier League side will be winning the race for Nandez, with Napoli looking set to pip the English clubs and Inter to the midfielder, who CalcioMercato state has a release clause of €36m (£30m).

With Napoli gunning for the title, as well, it should be a fairly easy decision for Nandez to decide to join the Italian club. Luciano Spalletti’s side have been one of the most entertaining to watch in Europe this season, and the presence of the dynamic midfielder will be a boost to their Scudetto hopes.

Spurs and Leeds won’t be able to win Nandez over with Napoli project

Described as an ‘unstoppable’ force in the midfield by the Italian media, Nandez is a combative player who is perfect for any side looking to add some steel into their squad, and for Napoli, this is exactly what they need whilst also giving the Uruguayan a project that is worth playing for.

Under Spalletti, the Naples side have some huge ambitions this season in the Serie A table, and with Nandez in their squad, Napoli could have that extra factor of quality and chaos needed to go all the way to their first league title since the days of Diego Maradona.
