According to Berliner Kurier, Leeds might now have to pay more to sign Matheus Cunha from Hertha Berlin.
The German news outlet claims that it is possible the Bundesliga side will now up their price for the Brazilian, as competition for his services grows.
It was said that Hertha Berlin wanted €30 million (£26million) for the 22-year-old.
Now, Berliner Kurier think the German outfit could charge €40 million (£34.5 million) for their No.10.
That isn’t a huge increase, although it is far from ideal for Leeds.
Who else is competing with Leeds for Matheus Cunha?
Berliner Kurier state that Napoli, Atalanta and Monaco are all interested in the South American who Marcelo Bielsa wants at Elland Road.
That could be slightly problematic.

Atalanta and Monaco can offer Cunha the chance to play Champions League football next season.
Nevertheless, Bielsa’s pull should not be underestimated.
If Leeds can sign Cunha – who has been compared to Cameroon legend Samuel Eto’o – then it would be a fantastic addition.

In 28 appearances this season, he scored eight goals and provided eight assists.
Clearly, he’s a player who knows how to create as well as score.
Keep an eye on this saga, as it would be a real coup if Leeds fended off the aforementioned clubs to sign Cunha.
