According to Voetbal International, PSV Eindhoven could now be forced to sell Arsenal and Leeds target Cody Gakpo due to financial problems.

Well, Leeds made attempts to sign the Netherlands international ahead of the September 1st deadline, with Victor Orta – Director of Football at Elland Road – even flying out to Eindhoven, according to The Athletic.
Elsewhere, Melissa Reddy claimed that Arsenal are interested in Gakpo.
The Dutchman ended up staying in the Netherlands with PSV Eindhoven, although the Eredivisie side may now need to sell their No.11 to raise some cash.
Voetbal International believe PSV Eindhoven need to make a significant sale before July 2023 in an attempt to balance the books for this financial year, which plunges Gakpo’s future in doubt.
Interest in the 23-year-old came after he enjoyed a sensational 2022/23 campaign, scoring 21 goals while also providing 15 assists across all competitions.
So far this term, Gakpo has continued his fine form with ten goals and nine assists in just 14 appearances.

In our view, Mikel Arteta and Jesse Marsch should now have some urgency instilled in them as they pursue Gakpo’s signature – it could be now or never.
PSV Eindhoven also have another valuable asset in Ibrahim Sangare, and if the Ivorian is sold first for a substantial fee, then the Dutch side may no longer need to cash in on Gakpo.
Therefore, Arsenal and Leeds must be quick to test PSV Eindhoven’s resolve.
Another possible scenario that could spoil things is that the Eredivisie outfit find a new source of income through a potential investor, for example.
As a result, Arsenal and Leeds need to take advantage of the situation as soon as possible – it may never be easier to sign Gakpo than it is right now.
