According to RMC Sport, Liverpool and Manchester City have been in touch with Monaco over a deal for Aurelien Tchouameni.
What’s the story?
Well, Liverpool and Manchester City aren’t the only sides interested in bringing the French wonderkid to the Premier League.
RMC Sport add that Manchester United and Chelsea have also enquired about the 22-year-old, while Barcelona and Juventus are interested as well.
Tchouameni is keen to join a club where he is guaranteed to be one of the first names on the teamsheet, according to RMC Sport.
It is said that the 7-cap France international is unlikely to leave Monaco this month, although a summer move seems inevitable for the rising talent.
Tchouameni has emerged as one of Monaco’s most important players, and has already made 31 appearances in all competitions this season.
Liverpool and Manchester City must sign Aurelien Tchouameni

In our view, Tchouameni’s price tag will soar if he continues to play like so well, so Liverpool and Manchester City should get moving as soon as possible.
The longer they wait, the more expensive the defensive midfielder will become in future.
What’s all the fuss about, I hear you ask?
Well, Tchouameni is already a regular for Monaco and France, while he has also made 113 first-team appearances in senior football despite his age.
The Rouen-born maestro has also been compared to some big names, such as Paul Pogba.

Interestingly, Paul Mitchell – Director of Football at Monaco – likened his biggest asset to Steven Gerrard, which should excite Liverpool fans.
Like Kylian Mbappe, we feel this is one of those deals which big clubs will look back and regret missing out on if they find themselves unsuccessful.
Keep an eye on this saga, as this looks set to be Tchouameni’s final season with Monaco if RMC Sport are to be trusted.
