According to Football.London, Julian Brandt would be interested in a loan move to Arsenal in the January transfer window.

It has been reported that although Brandt wants to stay at Borussia Dortmund and fight for his place in the team, he ‘would potentially be interested in a loan’ move.

The Germany international, who can operate as a left-winger or as an attacking midfielder, is not playing regularly at the moment.

The 24-year-old has made six starts and eight substitute appearances in the Bundesliga and has made two starts and four substitute appearances in the Champions League so far this season, according to WhoScored.

Joining Arsenal on loan

With the emergence of Emile Smith Rowe, there is an argument to be made that Arsenal do not need another creative player in attack.

However, Smith Rowe is only 20 years of age and is just starting his career, and he should not be put under too much pressure.

Brandt – who cost Dortmund €25 million (£22.36 million) in transfer fees when they signed him from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2019, as reported by The Guardian – is more experienced, and bringing the 24-year-old on a loan deal until the end of the season may not be a bad idea.
