Gilberto Silva has urged Arsenal fans on Twitter not to put too much pressure on Emile Smith Rowe.
Smith Rowe has been playing well for Arsenal this season and appears to be a long-term successor to Mesut Ozil in attacking midfield.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder played well for the Gunners in their 4-0 win against West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League at the weekend and provided an assist.
Ozil himself has praised the England Under-20 international on Twitter, but Arsenal legend Silva believes that the youngster should not be put under too much pressure.
Silva was also impressed by the performances of Arsenal left-sided players Bukayo Saka and Kieran Tierney.
Smith Rowe’s performance against West Brom impressed Arsenal legend Martin Keown, and it is clear that the 20-year-old has a bright future ahead.
However, the midfielder is only just starting to play regularly for the Gunners’ first team, and he should be allowed to grow and develop at his own pace.
According to WhoScored, rising star Smith Rowe has provided two assists in three Premier League games and has scored one goal and given two assists in three Europa League matches for Arsenal so far this season.
