Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea are willing to pay €50 million (£42 million) for Tottenham Hotspur target Milan Skriniar to sign him from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window, according to CM.

Chelsea want Tottenham Hotspur target Milan Skriniar

CM have reported that Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain both are ready to pay €50 million (£42 million) for the 27-year-old Slovakia international central defender.

However, according to CM, Inter value Skriniar at €70 million (£59 million).

The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Chelsea held a meeting with market intermediary Paolo Busardo in London over Skriniar this week.

Busardo is helping former Italian champions Inter with signings this summer.

Chelsea’s willingness to pay big for Skriniar will come as a blow for their London and Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who have also been linked with Skriniar.

It was only last week when Il Messaggero reported that Tottenham are interested in signing Skriniar from Inter in the summer transfer window.

Long negotiations

In our view, neither Chelsea nor Tottenham Hotspur will be able to sign Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan right now.

Inter will try to get as much as they can for the 27-year-old, and it is very likely that the Serie A club will stretch out transfer talks until the final days of the summer transfer window.

After all, Inter will surely want to get as much as they can for Skriniar.
