Alexandro Bernabei to Celtic is beginning to gather major momentum.
Earlier this week it was reported that Argentine outfit Lanus were expecting Celtic to make a formal approach to sign their player, a 21-year-old left-back.
Remember, this is also the same player who was left out of the squad last week amid speculation about a transfer to Parkhead.
And now The Daily Record has reported that the Bhoys could actually get him on the cheap.
According to the Scottish outlet, Celtic are aiming to secure the £4 million player’s signature for around £2 million in what would represent a massive bargain for Ange Postecoglou’s outfit.
Alexandro Bernabei to Celtic
This is quite an exciting addition for Postecoglou, if it materialises.
Bernabei is a player who Argentinian analyst Morena Beltran compared to a certain Marcelo due to his attacking abilities from left-back.
Yes, they have signed Cameron Carter-Vickers and Daizen Maeda on permanent transfers, but both players were there for at least half of last season on loan and therefore the squad itself isn’t any stronger just yet.
But the indications are certainly optimistic regarding Bernabei and time will tell if Celtic really can land him for a bargain £2 million.
