According to the Daily Record, Crystal Palace, Celtic, Southampton and Watford are interesting in signing Robbie Brady.
The 29-year-old is now a free agent after his contract at Burnley expired.
Brady struggled with injuries during his time at Turf Moor, hence why Sean Dyche has decided not to renew his contract.
That speaks volumes, as the winger was once Burnley’s club-record signing after joining from Norwich for £13 million.
Across spells at Carrow Road, Hull and Burnley, Brady racked up 160 Premier League appearances.
In that time, he scored ten goals and provided 13 assists.
The Daily Record claim that Brady has long been a target for Celtic, and is still on their list of summer targets despite the fact they’re managerless.
The 56-cap Republic of Ireland international may have had his injury problems, but he’s a very interesting freebie for clubs to consider.
What are Brady’s best qualities?
For one, his technical ability is absolutely superb. Even Roy Keane – a man known for being pretty negative – found time to heap praise on Brady’s set-piece delivery.
Speaking to the Mirror, Keane said: “It’s a big plus for us. Look at any big match, whatever about people’s movement, if the set-piece delivery is not right you’re wasting your time. Robbie’s delivery is as good as anyone out there and that’s certainly a big plus for us.”
If Brady can just stay fit, Celtic, Crystal Palace, Southampton or Watford will be getting themselves a fine asset for absolutely nothing.
