Jones left Burnley for Sheffield Wednesday in August.
Burnley manager Sean Dyche could turn to Sheffield Wednesday midfielder David Jones as cover for the injured Dean Marney, according to the Daily Mail.
Jones left Burnley for Wednesday in August, after three seasons and two promotions at Turf Moor.
However, the 32-year-old has made just nine starts for his new employers and could be a loan option for the Clarets, the Daily Mail reports.

Despite this, Wednesday are unlikely to let Jones leave this window, considering they could be without Kieran Lee for the rest of the campaign.

That could change, however, if the Owls manage to secure a replacement, although manager Carlos Carvalhal suggested at a press conference on Monday that the club are done in terms of incoming transfers.

Jones was a regular in Burnley’s title-winning team, but left when a clause in his contract was triggered by the Hillsborough side, who he claimed to support as a boy.
Wednesday have already allowed Lucas Joao and Modou Sougou to leave on loan this week, and others including Lewis McGugan and Claude Dielna could follow.
