Brighton and Hove Albion have reportedly joined the race to sign VfB Stuttgart talent Sasa Kalajdzic, who is also on the radar for both Manchester United and Tottenham.
According to Sky Germany, Graham Potter’s side have joined the growing list of Premier League sides interested in the 25-year-old striker, who enjoyed a breakout year in the Bundesliga last campaign as Kalajdzic guided Stuttgart to safety in the German top-flight.
As one of the tallest players in all of Europe, Kalajdzic’s exploits were even more impressive given his incredible physicality, with his 6’7″ frame drawing interest from some of Europe’s biggest sides, though the majority of clubs eyeing the Austrian international appear to be from England, with Brighton now in the race to sign the striker.
The Seagulls have been looking for a quality striker for what feels like years, with Potter yet to find the perfect player to lead the line for Brighton despite their desperate need for such a player and how much a signing in the centre-forward position would improve the south coast side’s overall squad.
Indeed, Kalajdzic, who Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat once hailed as ‘an extremely exciting talent’ could be perfect for Brighton, though interest in the attacker from United and Tottenham could make a deal difficult for Potter’s side, especially with the 25-year-old reportedly valued at £21m.
However, Kalajdzic would be a guaranteed starter should he sign for Brighton, and the direction the south coast club are going in seemingly indicates that the Vienna-born attacker could help push the Seagulls to incredible new heights if the Premier League side are able to beat United and Tottenham to the forward’s signature.
Brighton should be going all out to sign Kalajdzic this summer

Brighton were heavily linked with one Darwin Nunez last summer, and 12 months on, that decision to not sign the now club-record Liverpool arrival has looked like a foolish one, which is why the Seagulls must go all out to bring Kalajdzic to the Amex Stadium.
A striker is desperately needed at Brighton, and Kalajdzic’s unorthodox frame and style of play could make him an ideal candidate to lead the south coast side next season, especially if Potter is able to beat both United and Tottenham to the forward’s signature.
