Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard has seemingly put off Brighton and Hove Albion with his wage demands of around £85,000-a-week.
That’s according to The Scottish Sun, who claim that Edouard’s demands are deterring Premier League clubs from making their moves.
Many expected Edouard to leave Celtic this summer, but we’re now heading towards the end of the transfer window and he is still at Parkhead.
Southampton and Brighton are both believed to have baulked at Edouard’s wage demands, and there is a belief that he may need to alter his expectations if he wants a Premier League move.
One club are still interested though, and that’s Crystal Palace, with Patrick Vieira’s men seeking a new striker.
The Guardian recently noted that Palace think they can sign Edouard because his former Paris Saint-Germain coach Said Aigoun is now at Selhurst Park.

Palace haven’t backed away from Edouard, and we could see them push to land the Frenchman before the window slams shut.
Beating Brighton to his signature would be great for fans given the rivalry between the two clubs, and Celtic may need to sell soon with Edouard’s contract running down.
