Atdhe Nuhiu could leave Sheffield Wednesday this summer with Bolton Wanderers and Fulham potential destinations.
In the space of a matter of hours, Bolton Wanderers’ forward line could suddenly look a lot more dangerous ahead of their return to the Championship.
Nuhiu has never hit double figures in the Championship
The 28-year-old looks likely to leave Hillsborough this summer after starting just two Championship games last season under Carlos Carvalhal, not helped by the big-money January additions of Jordan Rhodes and Sam Winnall.
According to the report, Nuhiu has admitted that he has received an offer from Bolton, as well as another Championship rival.
“My future will be decided by mid-August. I have the offer from Fulham and Bolton, and also from Spartak Moscow. Everything will be decided by the middle of next month,” the Kosovan forward told Telegrafi.
Fulham, who lost in the play-off semi-finals like Wednesday last season, could also do with attacking reinforcements after last season’s loanee Chris Martin returned to Derby County.
Whether Nuhiu could score the goals to keep Bolton away from relegation danger or fire Fulham to promotion, however, remains to be seen. Since arriving in Yorkshire in 2013, Nuhiu has scored just 19 Championship goals in 146 games.
