According to Marca, Real Madrid do not want Martin Odegaard to stay at Arsenal next season.
Odegaard joined Premier League club Arsenal on loan from Spanish and European giants Madrid in the January transfer window.
The report in the Spanish publication has claimed that Madrid ‘still believe that he has a big part to play in their midfield in the future’.
It has been added that Odegaard’s loan spell at Arsenal is not ‘going to be forever’.
Blow for Arsenal
The Mirror reported in February that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants to keep Odegaard at the Emirates Stadium beyond the end of the season.
However, it seems that Madrid want the attacking midfielder back in the summer of 2021, and it will be a blow for the Gunners.

The youngster has done relatively well for the North London club so far and is another option in creative midfield for Arteta, who cannot rely on 20-year-old Emile Smith Rowe all the time.
According to WhoScored, the Norway international attacking midfielder – described as a “big talent” and “brilliant” by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola in Football.London in February – has made two starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League and has played twice in the Europa League for the Gunners so far during his loan spell.
