HITC Sport recently reported that Leeds United were in the hunt to sign Finnish central defender Aapo Halme
The West Yorkshire side are reportedly tracking the player. The 18-year-old is currently playing his football for HJK Helsinki in his homeland and has been compared to his countryman and Liverpool legend Sami Hyppia.
Other teams were also reported as in the hunt for the centre-back, with Dutch giants Ajax, Bundesliga side Hoffenheim and Serie A outfit Sassuolo all keeping tabs on the star.
They are however not alone. Current life may imitate legend, with Halme wanted by Hyppia’s final playing club Bayer Leverkusen.

Tutto Mercato Web report that the teenager is wanted by Bayer Leverkusen this summer, despite interest from several other parties.
The Finland under-19 international would be a massive coup if Leeds managed to snap him up. He is contracted to HJK until December 2018, sho would cost a fee. But beating off Bundesliga competition for the lanky defender would be a big statement from Leeds United – as they look to push for promotion to the Premier League yet again next season.
