Barcelona are confident that they will sign Arsenal transfer target Ruben Neves, according to The Sunday Mirror (29/5; page 71).
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Xavi’s Barcelona have been linked with moves for Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Neves in the summer transfer window.
The Daily Mail reported earlier this month that Arsenal are among the clubs interested in signing Neves.
Wolves reportedly want £70 million for the 25-year-old Portugal international midfielder, described as “a top, top player” and “sensational” by former Manchester United star Gary Neville on Sky Sports Premier League (7:29pm, March 18, 2022).
The Sunday Mirror (29/5; page 71) have reported that Wolves manager Bruno Lage is resigned to losing Neves, and that Barcelona think that they will be able to bring him to Camp Nou this summer, with the two clubs having a good relationship with each other.

Arsenal to miss out on Ruben Neves to Barcelona
In our view, if Barcelona are willing to pay what Wolverhampton Wanderers want for Ruben Neves, then Arsenal will miss out on the signing of the midfielder.
Yes, Arsenal are a big club, but Barcelona are a global brand who will play in the Champions League and also challenge for the La Liga title next season.
We think that a move to Barcelona would appeal more than a transfer to Arsenal for Neves.
